If horses were machines, then ratings alone could be accepted at near face value. But race horses are not machines; they are animal athletes whose performances in many instances are governed by stable intentions as well as the physical condition of the horse.

ReplyDeleteThanks for writing-in. One need to understand that there are many factors which affect the outcome of a race. A person living 1000s of miles away from the actual turf where racing take place will have his own limitation on certain information. Only a sensible person can understand all these things. Anyways I have many reasons for recommending “Spark Of Joy” for a Win but it was unfortunate that filly did not take part.
